Angle grinder, also known as grinding machine or disc grinder, is an electric tool designed for cutting and grinding fiberglass. It is mainly used in metal and stone cutting, grinding and brushing processes. Angle grinders use high-speed rotating thin-blade grinding wheels, rubber grinding wheels, wire wheels and other tools to grind, cut, rust and polish metal components.
Classification
Angle grinders can be divided into the following categories:
Handheld angle grinder: The most common type, portable and flexible, suitable for metal processing, stone cutting, wood carving and other fields.
Fixed angle grinder: Large in size and heavy in weight, usually installed on a fixed work platform, suitable for larger workpiece processing, such as cutting marble, stone, etc.
Pneumatic angle grinder: Powered by air, stable in operation, high in power and long in life, commonly used in metal processing, auto repair, furniture manufacturing and other industries.
Electric angle grinder: Powered by electricity, with adjustable power and speed, easy to operate and high efficiency, it is suitable for steel bar cutting, stone processing, wood carving and other fields.
Principle
Electric angle grinder uses high-speed rotating thin-blade grinding wheels, rubber grinding wheels, wire wheels, etc. to grind, cut, rust and polish metal components. Angle grinders are suitable for cutting, grinding and brushing metal and stone. Water cannot be used during operation. A guide plate must be used when cutting stone. For models equipped with electronic control devices, grinding and polishing operations can also be performed if suitable accessories are installed on such machines.
Precautions for use
When using an angle grinder, pay attention to the following points to avoid accidents:
A grinder with a protective cover must be used to ensure safe operation.
The size of the grinding wheel must match and be intact.
Protective glasses and a helmet must be worn during operation.
Personnel must not be in the tangent direction of the grinding wheel during operation.
After starting, it should be operated without load to check that there is no abnormal sound before operating.
Do not use too much force when cutting, but apply force slowly and evenly.
